London 1997: Frustrated by limited trips to the coast to get that surfing fix, disillusioned with his career and fed up with the daily commute, founder member of Zoco Mark decided to take a career break, focus on his surfing and seek a better lifestyle. With several winter surf trips to Lanzarote already under his belt, this was his destination of choice. He took long term partner and surf widow Vicky along for the ride... They never returned home... and shortly afterwards Zoco Boardriding was born...

ZOCO Boardriding is the only UK & Lanzarote based travel company that specialises in tailormade Surfing, Kitesurfing and Windsurfing Holidays to this beautiful volcanic island. We are a small family run business who have been organising activity focussed holidays since 1998. All of our holidays are "Tried & Tested" by the team and we know that "Location", "Friendly Service", "Value For Money" and "Getting the finer details right" are the key ingredients required to deliver a perfect hassle free holiday.

Since 1998 it has been our mission to explore every inch of this island leaving no stone unturned and even today the island still keeps surprising us. Vicky spent the first few years working for a leading luxury Villa Rental company where she gained invaluable experience organising people holidays. Mark spent several years improving his surfing in Lanzarote and exploring other surf destinations such as the other Canary Islands, Mainland Europe and North Africa (with Vicky of course). As a team we feel we have the right collective knowledge and experience to help take the hassle of researching and organising your next holiday away from you. We are here to guide your through your options, help you choose your ideal holiday and plan every aspect of your trip from the enquiry stage to booking to the day you leave the island. Our holidays and camps typically comprise of handpicked beachfront accommodation in key locations. Professional surf lessons, surf clinics at Europes finest accredited surf schools. Kitesurf courses, windsurf tuition and equipment rental at IKO/VDWS accredited kitesurf and windsurf centres. Airport transfers or budget car hire. All backed by a friendly professional team on the ground.

Unlike many surf tour operators in Lanzarote we actually hand-select each property based on its proximity to the beach, quality and value for money and offer clients a choice. We have built solid relationships with the property owners and most of our properties are exclusive to Zoco. You decide which property best suits your needs, taste and budget. Vicky co-founder of Zoco has been a long suffering surf widow and understands the frustrations for the non-surfer for example in the group. As a result we also take into account the needs of those who are not going to partake in the activity which means they don't have to compromise their holiday just to keep the active person happy.

As a small privately owned business we are funded only by our own success. For that reason, looking after you the customer is our number one priority. With a high percentage of our business being generated by repeat customers or by referrals from other satisfied customers we feel we are already on the right path to achieving that goal.
